Publication / Corrections

Clear writing includes correcting the record.

If a page contains a factual error, a broken or misrepresented source, a misleading example, a prompt that no longer behaves as described, or a material omission, we want to know.

Report a problem

Email [email protected] with the page address, the passage in question, and whatever supporting context or sources you have. For a prompt that misbehaves, the assistant you used and roughly when helps, since behavior varies by model and changes over time.

What happens next

Reports are read by a person and checked against the source material. A factual error is corrected on the page and the page's updated date changes. Where the error was substantive, a short note at the point of correction says what changed. A broken link is replaced or removed. A prompt that has stopped working as described is re-tested and either revised, with the review date updated, or annotated with the limitation.

What does not count as a correction

Small typographic and formatting fixes are made quietly and do not refresh the updated date, so that the date keeps meaning something. Disagreement with an editorial judgment, such as which frameworks the site uses or how it weighs a tradeoff, is welcome by email but is not a correction. Where it changes our view, the page is revised as an update and dated accordingly.

Disputed material

If someone named or quoted on this site disputes the characterization, we review it against the source and respond. Examples on this site use fictional people and situations. If one appears to describe a real person or company, tell us and we will change it.

How this fits the method

The fact-checking lesson asks writers to keep a correction record for their own AI-assisted work. This page is ours.
