Mega prompts / Ten session briefs
Mega prompts for writing that start a conversation.
A mega prompt gives the assistant everything it would otherwise guess: the job, the reader, your material, your voice, the rules for how you will work together, and what done looks like. Paste it once. Then write in short turns.
Every other prompt here is a specialization of this one.
The Vibe Writing Mega Prompt
Turns a blank chat into a working session with rules for facts, voice, turn structure, and what done means, so every later prompt is shorter and every draft needs less repair.
- The rule in the first line
- Block 1: the piece
- Block 2: raw material and the fact rules
- Block 3: voice notes and the banned list
- Block 4: turn rules
- Block 5: definition of done and the final check
Ten briefs, by what you are writing.
Each page has the complete prompt with a copy button, a variable sheet, an explanation of why it is built that way, a representative run, follow-up prompts, failure modes, and the human review it still needs.

- 08Professional DocumentDrafts a report, proposal, or memo whose structure follows the decision the reader has to make, whose every figure traces to your material, and whose summary is written after the body it summarizes.570 words · 8 variables
- 10Cover LetterDrafts a cover letter that connects specific things you did to specific things the role needs, using only your record, so the letter survives the interview where they ask about it.515 words · 7 variables
Four moves, every time.
- 01
Fill the brackets
Every [VARIABLE] is a question the assistant would otherwise guess at. The raw material and voice blocks carry most of the value.
- 02
Paste it as the first message
The prompt ends by asking the assistant to restate the job and ask questions. Do not let it draft yet.
- 03
Answer, then say "draft"
One draft at a time. Then short turns: change only X, options for Y, keep, mine.
- 04
Run the final check
Every prompt ends with an audit move. Treat its output as a list to act on, not a verdict.
The method behind the moves is in Iterative Prompting and How Vibe Writing Works. The shorter, single-job prompts for each writing stage are in the stage prompt library.

About mega prompts
What is a mega prompt?
A mega prompt is a long, structured instruction that gives an AI assistant everything it needs for a task up front: the job, the reader, the source material, the voice, the rules for how to work, and what done looks like. On this site each one is between 400 and 800 words and is designed to be pasted once at the start of a session.
Isn't a mega prompt the opposite of vibe writing?
No. Vibe writing is the conversation: you direct, the assistant proposes, you judge. A mega prompt front-loads the context that conversation would otherwise have to rebuild turn by turn, so the turns can be short. The thing to avoid is a mega prompt that tries to specify the whole piece so that one output is final. These are built to start a session, not to end it.
Which one should I start with?
The Vibe Writing Mega Prompt. It is the universal session brief and every other prompt here is a specialization of it. Pair it with Voice Capture once, and you can reuse the voice block in every later session.
Do these work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot?
They are written for any chat assistant and avoid model-specific syntax. Behavior varies by model and changes over time, so each page notes its last review date and recommends testing with your own material before relying on it.
Can I get them all in one file?
Yes. The Mega Prompt Pack is a free PDF with all ten prompts, their variable sheets, follow-up sequences, and review checklists, sent to newsletter subscribers.
